Dear interested parties, dear participants,
women* will still earn 18 percent less than men* on average in 2024. Equal Pay Day therefore fell on March 6 this year. Symbolically, this is the day of the year until which women* work “for free” in purely mathematical terms. To draw attention to pay inequality and (un)fair pay, we are organizing the Dresden Equality Week from August 26th to September 1st 2024. Together with our cooperation partners, we are offering a varied program, which extends across the whole city of Dresden. Various event formats invite you to engage with the work and achievements of women* and their different life situations.
The highlight of Gender Equality Week will be a joint party to which we invite all interested persons on August 30th, 2024 from 6.30 pm. You can look forward to live music by La Rey, DJane Jane Toniç and a live talk about implementing equal pay in Saxony. Catering will be provided. We cordially invite everyone who wants to discuss, celebrate or simply join us! We look forward to your participation!
